Derek had just gotten out of the hospital you can see the bands on his arm . See the blue one that has a number on it Tony had the same band on his arm the number on Tony's band wristband what's number four . I can't remember does Haven for Hope give out these wristbands . I think they do . That's the common thread . Derek was standing next to me for a very long time before he spoke to me like he was nervous to talk to me I have no idea what he was told but he was very nervous his back was sitting on a bench all the way across to the transit center I thought he didn't have a bag at all . I thought he had no belongings after getting out of the hospital . He said that he didn't know where to go he was asking me what was the open at the libraries were open at the mall was open I said nothing nothing is open this is it . Apparently he was just trying to create a rapport and when I walked in does anybody else find it odd that he walked over and stood next to me and left his bag and the bench across the transit center .?
I was taking pictures and posting on my blog and he was standing there trying to interrupt me leading me to believe that one of his objectives was to get me to stop taking the pictures and stuck telling the stories that's the objective of all minions some of them use different tactics to complete their mission but it's the objective of all of them .
It didn't take long before Derek asked me if I had a driver's license and if I would return something to Walmart for him . I agree Tony was there at the same time and yes as you can imagine the thought went through my mind that I was going to return something that had not actually been purchased period. He offered to pay me and I had no money weakness . Derek talks really soft you can barely hear him you have to get closer I feel like he does that on purpose to draw people in because he's capable of talking at a normal volume . I tried to get him to go to the Jones Maltsberger Walmart we ended up getting on the wrong bus I'm not sure that was an accident because he wanted to go to the Walmart on 410 which is actually the West Avenue Walmart . For some reason all these shoplifters like that Walmart . Why is that is there security loose are the employees more passive about shoplifting what is it about that Walmart that draws in all the shoplifters ? So we took two or three buses and it took forever finally to get him to the West Avenue Walmart . As I said before he was trying to draw me into the middle of the street with oncoming traffic he walks for a slow I'm carrying 70 lb on my back and this boy can't keep up he was dead weight . My objective was to get it done and get away from him . On the way to the Walmart when we were just a little ways away and he said we can't be seen together in the store . That was my red flag that was my cue this merchandise is not purchased . I figured when I tried to return it would show up as still a part of their inventory that would make sense right their systems have come a long way over the years and you would think that the barcode would show in the system whether or not it was still a part of the inventory and seems like a simple thing to add to the programming . So I asked him to give me a little money beforehand $2 . And then I told him he was going to have to give me the merchandise before we get off the bus if he didn't want to be seen with me and Walmart . Because it was him that said that we couldn't walk in together . And once again we are crossing West Avenue to go to the Walmart he was walking right in front of oncoming traffic . I just stood there and let him do it these idiots think I'm actually going to follow them into traffic so strange . He was walking on the other side of the parking lot as I I went and use the bathroom I have no idea where he was from at that point he told me to meet him in Sporting Goods because he had more shopping to do. He said his objective was Cash because he needed more marijuana. So why are you getting a Walmart gift card if you need cash? Before he got off the bus he was said he was trying to make a plan he wasn't sure if he was going to do more shopping because he didn't know if this was going to be a good day for that. If it was a police officer to that told him to do all of this then he would have had the confidence to think that today was a good day for shoplifting he would have been led to believe that he would get away with it because he's doing a favor for police officers. But Derek was apprehensive that today would be a good shoplifting day. I said if you need more marijuana why don't you just sell these items so that you have cash for marijuana or offer a bartering system for your pot. ? Derek said that he doesn't have people like that he didn't know people like that. And that was it and see Derek again. Oh no that wasn't it Derek took those two items and His Hands had been all over them the tags were still on them and he did something very odd he put him in the Walmart back but then he ruled up the Walmart back tightly it was a small package generally people will put it in the bag and use the handles and hand it off to somebody but Derek ruled it up real tight. It was odd watching him do that I was grateful that way my hands didn't ever have to touch those items. after I went to the bathroom I received message that there was something outside for me to do I went outside to take my pictures and I never went back in. Where did those stolen items go you'll find out it's important for all you dirty cops to know that I do not have them on my possession and I never touched them
