Bexar county jail

when I was in the bexar county jail everybody became worried and upset that I would have all of the inmates information. for the most part I was asking for their information but there is an indigenous list that the women put themselves on so they can get indigenous items like stamped envelopes pencils paper a toothbrush and when I would grab that list I would write down all their Sid numbers. Mr Wheeler who's in charge of the program decided to instruct everybody not to put their name on the list they were trying to inhibit my ability to collect information. I was telling them loudly and boldly with common sense all I need is their SID number and I will have their name and I will have their story and their case information. the officers were daft enough to believe that as long as you don't put your name there nobody will have your name. all you have to do is type the SID number in everything is there. some of the inmates were then announcing that they can't give out their SID number because it's like their jail social security which it kind of is. if you want to receive commissary or money on your books you have to give out your SID number if you want to receive mail you have to give out your SID number there's no way that you can receive a piece of mail or a care package without giving out your SID number. these women don't understand how the process works and one of the ways that the jail gets away with the crimes they commit against all of the residents of San Antonio is to keep them dumb. obviously there's nothing wrong with someone like me having their information at what point are they violating the privacy act of 1974? I realize this is probably how this process works in every city. there is no privacy in today's world I don't know who the individual was that thought that they were going to outsmart me simply because the inmates name wasn't listed but it's so sad to see they don't know how the system works either
