Jaywalking

In San Antonio in 2015 I was on Commerce Street at the corner of Ellis alley. I was standing at the crosswalk waiting for it to change to say walk a police officer was walking across the crosswalk and it said don't walk. I started laughing looking at the police officers saying you're jaywalking. The officer then told me that as long as there's no traffic and you're in the crosswalk it's okay to walk it's not jaywalking. Now that I take a closer look at it it most certainly is jaywalking he lied to me and ever since he told me that I've been repeating it thinking that he was telling me the truth he was telling me the actual Penal Code OG how surprising a police officer lying to cover his own crime
Jacksonville Florida security police officers decided to stop going to some of jaywalking here's a little tidbit of information even if it says don't lock and it's clear as long as there's no traffic coming you can cross that is not jaywalking jaywalking is when you're Crossing and you're not in the crosswalk. Charging him for walking without an ID that's not a law.
